Peria Edward Jerry (/p @’r I / ; born on August 23 1984) is an ex- American football defensive lineman. He was picked for the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played in the NCAA football tournament for at the University of Mississippi. Jerry was released from football in 2014 after playing five seasons playing for the Falcons. Jerry is the older sister to Cincinnati Bengals guard John Jerry.

In 2007 Jerry was selected in the 2nd Team All-SEC by the Associated Press and Rivals.com. He played in the entire season at defensive tackle . He was placed at sixth place in the SEC on tackles to loss (TFLs) which was 14. He was in second place on team with TFLs three and half QB sacks. 4 QB hurries, and more than 58 total tackles.

Jerry was signed to a five-year contract by the Falcons on July 30, 2009. He competed with Trey Lewis to replace Grady Jackson, who was not re-signed by the Falcons, at defensive tackle.

As of 2006 Jerry struggled with injuries in order to participate in eight games, and made six starts in the line of defense. He played at the end the nose tackle, tackle and end. He recorded 22 tackles over the season. He also had 1 loss-relieving tackle and one QB sack. In the spring season, he was awarded the Jeff Hamm Memorial Award for the best defensive player in spring practice. He was able to move from tackle to the end, and quickly became the starting player. Jerry was named an “Emerging Star” at Ole Miss by Lindy’s magazine.
