Per Frimann Hansen (born 4 June 1962) is a Danish former professional footballer. He played 158 times as a midfielder with Belgian club RSC Anderlecht, with whom the club was the winner of three Belgian championships in addition to winning the 1983 UEFA Cup. He played in 17 games in the UEFA Cup and also scored one goal. Danish national team. He was a part of the team in the 1986 FIFA World Cup and 1988 European Championship.
The year 1989 was the time he made the move away from AGF to Brondby which is in Brondby, where Morten Olsen was the manager. In August of 1990 Frimann was forced to end his playing career at the age of 28 due to recurring injuries. Frimann was the first player on Danish soil to play a match in his testimonial for his advantage, as his Danish 1987 World Cup team beat Brondby IF 4-4.
In 1988, following numerous injuries at Anderlecht Frimann, who was 26 years old, was able to decide to return to Denmark. He was subsequently bought from Brondby IF, and loaned out to Aarhus GF (AGF) in the 1988 season. It was during this time that Aarhus GF was awarded his first Danish Cup.

Frimann’s career began at Danish team Akademisk Boldklub (AB) under manager Christian Andersen. In the year 1980, Frimann made his senior debut for AB which played in the top division of the Danish 1st Division. The following year, the Frimann made the move into Kjobenhavns Boldklub (KB). In KB Frimann was discovered at the Belgian club Anderlecht who invited him into the Anderlecht team a year later. Frimann was immediately offered a spot in the Anderlecht team’s starting lineup and made his debut in the Danish national team in the month of October 1983. Frimann spent seven years in Anderlecht where he was able to win three Belgian championships as well as winning the 1983 UEFA Cup. During his time in the team, he was a part of many of his colleagues Danish members of the national squad, including the captain of the national team Morten Olsen.
Selection to be part of the Danish team at the 1986 World Cup, Frimann looked to be an integral part for the Danish team. An ankle injury that was complicated, that was sustained in the final training camp prior to the tournament, prevented Frimann out of the 1986 World Cup, and for the remainder of his life it was a struggle to recover from injuries. Frimann was a member of the Danish team that was selected for 1988’s Summer Olympics however the team was not able to participate in the final event. The team was able to determine that Frimann wasn’t qualified for the 2-0 victory against Poland where he took part in the final match, and Denmark was penalized for the points from the win. The result was that he was not able to play in the final event. He was member of the Danish team for 1988’s 1988 European Championship, where the Danish player played in one match.
Following his retirement, he worked with public relations in the European Commission from 1992 to 1996. He was hired as an internal consulent in Danmarks Idrætsforbund in 1996. In April 1998, he became the sports director of former club AB. When AB manager Christian Andersen agreed a contract with league rivals F.C. Copenhagen in October 1998, eight months before his contract expiry in June 1999, Frimann initially refused to let Andersen go before time and suspended him.
