The year 2012 was the last time Trumbull made an appearance as a special guest for The San Diego Film Festival, that featured a special showing of Almost Famous. Trumbull continues to appear on television to discuss the film and her life during the 1970s.

Trumbull resided living in San Diego for many years. She earned the bachelor’s from the school of Business Administration from Cal State Northridge and was an elite fencer.
