On January 20, 2012, despite not playing even a single minute under the his new coach Luis Garcia in the season, Mosquera agreed to return to Castilla as a player at the third level. In the summer of 2014, following an additional top flight campaign with Getafe and then joining the league club Elche CF on a three-year contract. His first goals during Elche CF’s Spanish premier league on September 14 while serving the latterteam, contributing to an away win of 3-2 against Rayo Vallecano.
On 2 August 2019, Mosquera terminated his contract at the Estadio Riazor and joined SD Huesca for two seasons the following day.
On January 24, 2010 Mosquera was called up to his first squad for the game with Malaga CF, but did not make it to the bench. Two months later and one day later , he played the La Liga debut, playing only one minute in a 4-0 away win over Getafe CF after replacing Xabi Alonso.

In A Coruna, Galicia, Mosquera played roller hockey with his team at high school from neighbouring Santa Maria del Mar. At 12 years old Mosquera joined the youth team of Real Madrid; the first time he played as a professional player in 2006-07’s second division. Four games in 84 minutes, which resulted in the team was relegated.
Mosquera was signed with Getafe on the 12th of July, 2010, signing an agreement for five years and reconnecting with the former Real Madrid Castilla coach Michel. Mosquera made his debut with the club 16 days after scoring in the VFL match against Germany’s Osnabruck.
On 27 July 2015, Mosquera cut ties with the Valencians and signed a four-year deal with Deportivo de La Coruña hours later. He played 37 matches in his first season, helping to a final 15th position in the table.
