Paula Cook (born 2 November 1969) is an British automobile racing racer. She is most well-known being an individual driver of the British Touring Car Championship competing for the family-owned DC Cook Motorsports. She was the owner of the DC Cook Direct dealership owned by the family DC Cook Direct dealership after her father’s death in the year 2005 before it closed in 2009.

Following the BTCC she took part for her first Lotus Elise Championship and the SEAT Cupra Championship. in 2002 she competed in the one-time ASCAR event at Rockingham. The following year, she took part for the SEAT Cupra Championship for the first time and then later, she raced as part of The Morgan Works Race Team in the FIA GT Championship, Most recently, she competed for the British GT Championship in 2004 in her Chevrolet Corvette C5R of the Embassy Racing team. Following an appearance with the Porsche Supercup.

At the close of 1998’s British Touring Car Championship season, Cook entered the final four rounds of her dad’s DC Cook Motorsport Team in the Honda Accord. Cook returned to the series together with DC Cook in 1999, hoping to compete for the entire season. She was being the first woman to participate in the entire season. However, despite a good start to the season however, the season of Cook had to be cut short in round 16, when her team was forced to withdraw from the competition because of financial issues.

Paula came from a family of racing Her dad, Derek, was a racing driver during the 1970s. The brother David also raced in motorsports. He was most famous in 1996 for his victory at the British Formula Renault series. Alongside this her nephew Jake was a participant in this year’s Formula Renault UK series, and with Paula was his manager. She also managed DC Cook Direct, a family owned DC Cook Direct dealership franchise and took over the business after the passing of her dad in a vehicle accident in 2005. She continued to run the business, being in charge till the business was sold off in 2009.

In Rotherham, Cook began her auto racing career in 1994 where she raced in the Formula Vauxhall Junior and Formula Vauxhall Junior Winter Series championships which she won overall for the former. British Formula Renault (becoming the first female ever to earn the pole position in a race that was international) and then three years of the British Formula 3 Championship between 1996 between 1996 and 1998. The year 1997 was the first time she raced for the company Nissan Team in the RAC Tourist Trophy.
