Patrick Soultana (born January 1 1977, in Amsterdam) was a sentenced Dutch serial murderer. His sentence was life prison on the 25th of July in 2013 for two murders as well as an attempted murder. Then, in the month of December 2013, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison plus a provision following an appeal.

On February 19, 2014, Soultana confessed to The Hague Court of Appeal involvement in the murder of Zargar, to the surprise of the Advocate General. He stated that he had been there, but that he did not use violence himself.

Farida Nadjiebullovna Zgar (born on the 28th of August, 1988 from Kemerovo, Russia) was attacked several times before being killed by Soultana on the 5th of August 2010. Soultana confessed to an eyewitness that he planned to steal Zargar but that she was killed as she began to scream. On November 9, 2010, Soultana was seen throwing the bank card as well as the identifier for Zargar in the mailbox at the Police station located in Spijkenisse. The camera’s images were later broadcast by Opsporing Verzocht, but Soultana was not identified. On the 26th of November 2010 Zargar’s bicycle was discovered in Mallebos and on March 8, 2011, the keyring she wore was discovered. Following the arrest of Soultana, a number of things that belonged to Zargar were discovered in his bedroom which included her jewelry, watch, and passport and blood-stained traces were found on several of the items. Following the time that Soultana murdered his victim, he cut off her foot and then buried the remains in a pot beneath his shed. In 2014, there was a suspicion that Soultana may be the one responsible for the murder of 50 year-old Joke Lorse, who was killed on August 11 in 2009. In Simonshaven the victim was killed with an axe that was sharp while walking alongside her husband. The husband claimed that a man who was not identified came out of the bush and struck him in the head. Then, he was able to recover, and his wife was found dead next to him. The statement was rescinded from the authorities. He was later arrested. Together with a friend, then 21-year-old Timothy S., on March 24, 2011 Soultana robbed a Polish man from Włocławek. In doing so, both men hit the man on the head several times with an iron bar, took his belongings and left him for dead. The man, however, survived the attack. Both perpetrators were convicted of attempted murder. Timothy S. was also a co-suspect in Kerklaan’s murder, but was acquitted.
