Patrick Oboya is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on February 19, 1987 in Nairobi, Kenya. Patrick Joseph Oboya Onyango (born 19 February 1987) is also popularly referred to by the name of Patrick Oboya, is a Kenyan footballer, who currently playing in the Kenyan Premier League team Tusker as midfielder. He also has played in Kenya’s national team. Kenya national team, and they last played the team in a friendly match against Tanzania on the 14th of November, 2012.
On January 26, 2015, the club confirmed that Oboya had joined Tusker after a year and a half at Gor Mahia. Oboya made his first appearance with the team in their first league match of the season on the 21st of February with a 1-1 draw with Thika United, at Thika Municipal Stadium.
1 July 2013 it was reported it was announced that Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia hired Oboya on the previous day following a successful medical. Oboya was on the pitch for K’Ogalo on July 17th, 2013 after coming from the bench to take over Paul Kiongera in the 79th minute. The goal helped the team to win 2-0 against Chemelil Sugar, at Nyayo National Stadium.

Prior to his move to America Oboya was a player for Two Kenyan Premier League clubs. He was signed by A.F.C. Leopards in September of 2005, prior to transfer the club to Tusker in January of 2006. In February 2007 the player became a member of the Czech side Banik Most. After almost 4 years with Banik Most in the Czech Republic, he moved to Slovak club MFK Ruzomberok on a three- year contract in January of 2012.
Oboya has played 29 times in Oboya’s Kenya national team as well as with the Harambee Stars, and scored two goals. He was the leading scorer for Kenya during the qualifying matches for Ghana in 2008, scoring two goals.
