In January 2019, Aleph became the director of innovation for Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary, an online rabbinical school. The school includes Orthodox, Conservative and Reform rabbis educating and ordaining post- denominational rabbinical students.

The year 2007 was the time that Aleph founded the punk group Can Can with guitarist Mary Collins and drummer Josh Lamar, whom he was introduced to through the local scene of music. The band’s songwriter was Aleph included subtle lyrics that referenced and references to his Jewish faith. The group released two albums, All Hell (2009) and their JDub Records debut Monsters & Healers (2010) prior to taking a break in the year 2011.
