Youth on the Railroad is an informational travel guidebook that was released in June 2011 , by Dreammap Publishing Corporation (doseoculpan ggumyijido ). The idea for the book was born out of Solhee Park’s trips through South Korea during the summer of 2010 with “Railro Ticket”, a seven-day train ticket for young travelers younger than 25 years old older, which was launched in 2007 by Korail at the end of 2007. After a five-week travel experience, Park realized that no national travel guidebook was available for train travel despite the fact that Railro Ticket was rapidly gaining popularity with travellers. Although she was not a professional writer expertise and was young in old age Park determined to put all on writing an itinerary guidebook that was that was based on her Korail experiences.

Park was approached by Dreammap Publishing Corporation and signed an agreement to publish in January of 2011. Following six months of study and research, Youth on the Railroad was published.

Park Solhee (Korean: bagsolhyi born on 5 January 1990) is a South Korean writer. Her most famous work is her travel guidebooks Youth on the Railroad (ceongcun, Naeilro ) and the Complete Guide to Exchange Students (gyohwanhagsaeng and wanjeonjeongbog, co-authored). Park is recognized as the newest professional travel writer in the field of practical guides within South Korea. Park released her first novel, Youth on the Railroad in June 2011, when she was just 21 years old. Youth on the Railroad received huge attention and praise by South Korean media and has sold more than 12,000 copies in August 2013. Her book 2: Complete Guide for Exchange Students which was released in November 2012 also attracted a lot of attention because it was one of the very first guides that were written specifically for exchange students from America. United States. Park is freelance journalist and columnist while at Sookmyung Women’s University, writing regular articles and writing her own columns which appear in a variety of South Korean publications such as Daehaknaeil, Tomorrow, and OhmyNews. She has also given public talks following the publication of her first book , aimed at a variety of audiences, including high school and college students and readers. After living in Seoul for eight years, she relocated from Seoul to Jeju Island in March 2016. She lives at Jeju city.

After graduating from graduation from high school, Park moved to Seoul to attend Sookmyung Women’s University in March 2008 and double majoring in Telecommunications and English Language and Literature. Park was granted a two-year suspension without pay to go on a trip the globe and write her book and is expected to be graduating in the month of February 2014. Park also was a student at in the University of California, Davis as an exchange student during the winter of 2012. In the season of summer 2013, Park took classes in Chinese languages at her school, the East University of Heilongjiang in Harbin.

Six months after the publication of Youth on the Road, Park moved to the United States to study at the University of California, Davis as an exchange student. There, she began work on her second book, a complete guide to life in the United States as a foreign exchange student. Park was motivated to write Complete Guide for Exchange Students when she noticed that no guidebook yet existed for exchange students in Korea, despite an increasing number of exchange students experiencing difficulties abroad due to lack of information and practical advice. While experiencing campus life at UC Davis, Park interviewed students and performed extensive research to write a comprehensive guidebook for future exchange students. Dreammap Publishing Corporation published Complete Guide for Exchange Students following Park’s return to South Korea in 2012.
