Park Si-hun is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on December 16, 1965 in Haman County, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Park Si-hun (Korean: bagsiheon ; born on the 16th of December, 1965) is a former South Korean amateur boxer who won an unpopular Olympic gold medal.
The year 2008 was the first time Park took part in his first World Youth Amateur Boxing Championships as the coach for Team Korea. Park has been the head coach for the reserves for South Korea. South Korea national boxing team.
In 1988, Park won the title match with Roy Jones, Jr. in a decision of 3-2 of the three judges. Further scoring suggests that Jones hit 86 times against Park’s 32. Jones has claimed that Park has apologized afterwards. Many journalists have made sworn statements in which judge Hiouad Larbi from Morocco spoke after the game in which he acknowledged Jones was able to win easily, but he chose to go with Park to please fans in South Korean spectators. Three judges who voted for Park were later removed from the game for the rest of their lives.

Park’s first major win was in 1985 when he was awarded the gold medal for light middleweight at the Boxing World Cup, defeating 1985 European Champion Michael Timm and 1984 US national champion Kevin Bryant. He then won the gold medal for light middleweight in the 1988 Summer Olympics over Roy Jones, Jr. despite his poor performance.
Following in 1988’s Olympics, Park retired from his boxing career but did not go professional. Park obtained a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Kyungnam University and served as an elementary school teacher of physical education in Jinhae Gyeongsangnam-do, until 2001 when he appointed assistant coach of the South Korea national amateur boxing team. He was also appointed as an assistant coach at Pohang Poseidons. In the following years, he became the head coach for the South Korea Olympic team. In 2017 Park is elected president of the South Korea Christian Olympic Association.
