Park Seung-hi is one of the most popular and richest Short Track Speed Skater who was born on March 28, 1992 in Suwon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. Park Seung-hi (Korean pronunciation: [pak.sWNG.hi] ; born 28 March 1992) is an ex- South Korean short track and long track speed skater. She was in the race for 2011 Overall World Champion. She took home three gold and two bronze medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2014 Winter Olympics. Park Seung-ju is her sister who is who is a Long track speed skater and Park Se- yeong, her brother is a speed skater. She transitioned to long track speed skating following her 2014 Sochi Olympics. Following the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, Park announced her retirement from speed skating.

In the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Park competed in the women’s race of 1000 meters in speed skating. She placed 16th overall.

In the 2014 Winter Olympics, she won two gold medals as well as bronze.

In the 2010 Winter Olympics, she participated at four different events. In the first race 500 m event, she was disqualified in the quarterfinals. The next day she was competing in the 1500 meters. Although she set the Olympic record at the finals of the event, she came in 3rd in the championship. For the relay of 3000 meters the team was first, and was then disqualified from one the judges on track. In the 1000 meters, she took home the bronze medal, placing in third place, just behind Wang Meng and Katherine Reutter.

Following the 2014-2015 season, Park moved into long-track speed skating. She was successful in this and she was selected to compete for South Korea at the 2015 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships. She originally had planned on taking a break from speed skating after Sochi but she decided to test herself to compete in long track, and have the privilege of representing her country of origin in the year 2018’s Winter Olympics. She was one of the few South Korean athlete to ever participate in short track and long track speedskating in the Olympics.
