Pang Sheng Jun is one of the most popular and richest Swimmer who was born on September 4, 1992 in Singapore, People's Republic of China. Pang Sheng Jun (born 1992) is a Singaporean national swimmer. The year 2011 was the time Pang took home a silver medal in the freestyle 1500m for men to become the sole Singaporean to be awarded medals during the FINA Swimming World Cup. He took home his first personal Southeast Asian Games medal, winning silver in the individual 400m Medley.
Despite the disappointment of not being out on the cut of at the Rio Olympics even though he been able to clock Olympic “B” times in the individual 400m freestyle and medley, Pang is now set on securing the gold medal in the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia, and plans to continue swimming full-time following his graduation in 2018, as he aims to secure the possibility of an Olympic selection in 2020 Tokyo Games. 2020 Tokyo Games.

In 2009, at the SEA Games in Laos, Pang who was then 17 years young, had his hopes of winning medals crushed not just twice, but three times in the same event, finishing fourth in the 400m as well as 200m Medleys. He was determined to keep going. A few years after, he was back to the 2011 SEA Games at Jakabaring Aquatics Centre in Palembang determined to secure the gold medal in his single race, the 400m freestyle however he came in 5th. It could be said as the low moment in his career as a swimmer. He experienced a near suicide moment when he attempted to climb to the top floor of his apartment in the Games Village but his teammate and his best buddy Russell Ong stepped in just when he was about to take his final leap.
Pang acknowledged that his struggles such as depression never washed away until he took gold in the team of men’s 4x200m freestyle during the Myanmar SEA Games in 2013.
He is currently a Sports Science and Management student at the Nanyang Technological University and will graduate in 2018.
