Berry (born on December 18th 1982) is an former American soccer wide receiver. Berry played in the NCAA football tournament in the state of Virginia at Virginia State University.
In the 2009 season, Berry joined the Af2 Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings. In his second year with the team the Battle Wings joined the re-formed Arena Football League. In the Arena Football League, Berry recorded 118 catches for 1,352 yards, and 33 touchdowns. He also recorded 65 kickoff returns, totalling 1,171 yards, and two touchdowns.
Berry signed with the Pittsburgh Power for the 2012 season. In 2012, he caught 111 passes for 1,282 yards and 18 touchdowns. Berry finished the season with First Team All-AFL honors and All-Ironman recognition as a special teams player after recording 111 kick returns for a Power franchise record of 2,024 yards.
Berry was assigned to the San Antonio Talons on January 30, 2014. The Talons folded after the 2014 season.
After a break of for a while, Berry signed and played with the South Georgia Wildcats of the Af2 in 2008, accumulating 329 total yards. As a receiver Berry received 92 passes, totaling 1,425 yards with the 28 receptions that scored touchdowns. For kick returns Berry scored six touchdowns in collecting 1,753 return yards in addition to netting two touchdowns by rushing. In recognition of his efforts and efforts, he was named to the American Conference All-af2 First-Team.

Born child of Pharisse Sr. and Virginia Berry, P.J. was a student at Hopewell High School situated in Hopewell, Virginia, where the two-sport star was with a letter in baseball and football. He was an All District selection on the football field as a senior and junior as well as playing the position of quarterback, defensive back and defensive back. He also punt return. The team played baseball for three seasons in which he played primarily in centerfield. He added an occasional innings of pitching. He was awarded All-Region two times in baseball. Voted on for the Hopewell All-Decade Team in his time in the 2000s (2000-09).
Berry decided to pursue his college athletic career with Virginia State University, where he earned four years of letterwinning and was selected All- Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association throughout his four seasons during his time at Virginia State. The team was named All-Conference as wide receiver as a sophomore and freshman, and also as a kick returner senior and junior. The team earned All-American First Team honors as kick returner during his senior year at the American Coaches Association. He was one of two players ever recognized as the distinction of an All-American during his time from Virginia State. As of 2005, the player finished second in the country returning kicks, with an average of 34.4 yards/return rate. He scored more than 3,500 all-purpose yards during his entire career. The award was presented to him as Division II Player of the Year by the State of Virginia during 2005. Also, he played at Virginia State, where he was named All-CIAA each year as a centerfielder and had an .310 annual average of batting. He led the nation in stolen bases in his senior year in 2005, taking 39 of 40 attempts.
Berry signed with the New Orleans VooDoo on January 5, 2010 for the 2011 season. Berry set new AFL single-season records in all-purpose yards (3,708) and kickoff returns (101) in 2011. He became the first player in VooDoo history and the first from a New Orleans franchise since 1991 to win the award. Offensively, Berry ranked fourth in the AFL in receptions with 155. He led the VooDoo in receiving with 1,593-yards and 27 touchdowns on the year. He also notched 47-yards and nine touchdowns on the ground this season. As a returnman, Berry led the League with 2,043 kick return yards and five touchdowns, giving him 41 total touchdowns on the year. As a result of his fantastic play all season, Berry was named the 2011 JLS Ironman of the Year.
