Ovidy Obvious Karuru (born on the 23rd of January, 1989) is an Zimbabwean professional footballer, who plays as a midfielder with South African Premier Division side Stellenbosch as well as the Zimbabwe the national side.

Karuru was signed by Kaizer Chiefs and played in an official pre-season game in the match against Chippa United in which Chiefs defeated the opposition four-to-two in Port Elizabeth. Karuru obtained his work authorization at the South African Department of Home Affairs on the 22nd of August, 2014 following a delay of a month. Karuru was granted his work permit from the custody of Kaizer Chiefs on 31 May 2016.

After just one half-year at Harare He was then sold to Ligue 1 team US Boulogne in the summer of 2009. With Boulogne the team was knocked out twice in three seasons before ending on the Championnat National in 2012, after which he was transferred to OH Leuven in the Belgian Pro League. He made his debut on the 15th of September 2012, when they suffered the 1-0 defeat at home to Zulte waregem who replaced Evariste Ngolok, who was substituted in the 72nd minutes. Karuru scored his debut goal in the league at the stadium on the 20th of October 2012, in a home 4-1 win against Club Brugge. After being substituted during the 45th minute by Derick Ogbu Karuru was the man to score his fourth goal for his team at the end of the first minute in the 81st. The assist was provided by Ebrahima Sawaneh. He signed with Chiefs on the 22nd of July as a free-agent after choosing not renewal of his deal with OH Leuven, who were exiled to the Jupiler League at the end of the 2013-14 season.
