Osama Orabi is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 25, 1962 in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Osama Orabi (Arabic:’sm@rby born on 25 January 1962) is a retired Egyptian footballer. In his career he was an Egyptian midfielder with the Egyptian African Super Cup Championship club Al Ahly as well as Egypt and participated during the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Orabi has been appointed manager for El Entag El-Harby (a.k.a. Military Production), which is a member of the Egyptian Premier League.

Orabi’s professional football career started in the 1983-84 season , and was completed in 1998-99. Over the course of 16 seasons, Orabi won 28 different championships with Al-Ahly. He set a record for any footballer by winning the league 10 times throughout his entire career.

After his retirement, Osama Orabi became the trainer of Al-Ahly’s first team during the 2001–02 Egyptian Premier League season. Al-Ahly’s technical staff at the time included the Portuguese manager Manuel Jose, the General coach Mokhtar Mokhtar, and the coach Hossam El-Badry in addition to Orabi. Al-Ahly won the National League Champions Cup and the African Super Cup under this technical staff management.

Osama Orabi raised to the first man position as he became the manager of Al- Sekka Al-Hadid and later Gasco in the Egyptian Second Division. On 6 June 2010, El-Entag El-Harby (a.k.a. Military Production) reached an agreement with Orabi to become the team manager with a one-season contract. Orabi will be leading El-Entag El-Harby in its second season in the Egyptian Premier League in its history.

A friend who was awed by Abdul Moneim Muhammad Ali, Orabi was presented by Ahmed Maher, Al-Ahly U-21 Manager. Maher chose to join Orabi to the team in 1982.

When he was 13 years old, Orabi attempted to join Al Ahly in 1975, however, he was unsuccessful. He failed to make it through another time with Al-Ahly at the age of 13 in 1978. The following year, in the same season, he enrolled for two weeks in the first group that was part of Arab Contractors but failed to impress the technical staff enough to accept him as a player.

Orabi first appearance for Al-Ahly’s initial team was during the 1982-83 , in the season against Olympic Alexandria, when Mahmoud El-Gohary was the Al-Ahly manager, and Abdel-Aziz Abdel Shafi was the Director of Football. Orabi was brought in as a replacement for Mokhtar Mokhtar in the final twenty minutes of the game which was played in Alexandria. Al-Ahly was victorious 6-0, as Zakaria Nassif scored 3 goals, Fawzi scotty had 2 goals and Mokhtar Mokhtar one goal.

Orabi participated in the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy and played one of Egypt’s three matches in the competition. He played the full match against Ireland, which ended in a 0–0 draw. The match was moderated by Belgian referee Van Enginhovin ant took place in June 1990 in the city of Palermo.
