Orlondo Steinauer (born on June 9th 1973) is the head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). As as a player who played in the professional ranks, he played Canadian football as an safety for the past 13 seasons playing for Toronto Argonauts, the Ottawa Rough Riders, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts from 1996 to the year 2008. He was ranked with the second highest mark in CFL record books for return interception yards, with 1178 yards. Steinauer was twice Grey Cup champion as a player. He won the title in 1999 as a member of his team the Tiger-Cats as well in the year 2004 for the Argonauts. Steinauer has also been a winner as an coach and won his 100th Grey Cup as the defensive backs coach of Toronto Argonauts in 2012. On February 19, 2010, Steinauer was hired by the Argonauts as their defensive backs coach. On August 4, 2011, Steinauer was promoted to defensive co- ordinator of the Argonauts after the firing of Chip Garber from that position. On December 8, 2011, new head coach Scott Milanovich announced that Steinauer would be retained as the team’s defensive backs coach.

Steinauer was a member of Steinauer joined the Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL in 1996, however, he played only a few games before the team’s dissolution towards the conclusion of the season. In 1997, while playing with Hamilton Tiger-Cats Hamilton Tiger-Cats, he emerged as a star defensive player who was selected to the East Division All-Star team. He also played as punt returner.
