Zenterio AB declared bankruptcy in July 2019 and in February 2020, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was sued in court for the amount of 44 million Swedish crowns for his actions as Chairman of Zenterio.
During the Kallasvuo’s time as Nokia’s CEO, Nokia’s percentage of smartphone sales decreased from 48 percent in 2006 to only 31% at the time of his departure in the latter part of 2010. This was due to inability of the platforms and UI development which contributed to the decrease. The slow rate of development as well as the lack of support for the company’s Maemo OS, subsequently known as Meego and used in phones like the N900 as well as the N9 handsets which left Nokia without a platform that could be competitive with the Apple iPhone as well as Google’s Android platforms. The the company’s key partner Intel leaving its Meego project in the year 2011 just after the departure of Kallasvuo from Nokia. Kallasvuo’s successor Elop was able to switch into Windows Phone. Windows Phone platform with little commercial success . Nokia was slashed from being the largest mobile manufacturer in the world to a small brand with less than 3 percent in the market for smartphones after its mobile phone business was bought in mid 2014 by Microsoft in mid-2014.

Kallasvuo’s involvement at Nokia began in the year 1980 when he was hired as Corporate Counsel.
