She has since returned to the Met several times, appearing in such roles as Gilda in Rigoletto, Zerbinetta in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos, and the title role in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor. In 2009, she made her debut at La Scala, singing the role of Amina in La sonnambula.
