Ola Williams Kamara (born 15 October 1989) is an Norwegian professional soccer player who is a player in the club D.C. United in MLS. He is striker and has also been a player in the clubs of Stabaek, Honefoss, Stromsgodset, Molde, Austria Wien, TSV 1860 Munchen, Columbus Crew SC, LA Galaxy and Shenzhen. Kamara scored goals during the first half of the season in 2011, and when Kamara was able to score in the match against Odd Grenland on 10 April 2011, he scored six consecutive home games. Kamara was Stromsgodset’s top goal scorer during the 2011 season having scored 10 goals. Stromsgodset hired Peter Kovacs and Adama Diomande prior to the start of the 2012 season. Kamara was scheduled to play less often than he had played in during the previous two seasons, however, he was still playing frequently on the left wing throughout the season, and was a huge contribution to the team. After scoring just one goal in the initial part of the season, Kamara was able to score three goals at Lerkendal Stadion during the 3-3 tie against Rosenborg on June 24, 2012. Kamara also scored a hat-trick a week later, as Honefoss was defeated by 5-0. In the 5-0 victory over Fredrikstad on July 27, 2012, Kamara scored one and assisted on three goals. Kamara has also scored the game-winning goal against Rosenborg 5 November 2012, which ended Rosenborg titles. The end of the season Stromsgodset was second to Molde and took home their first league championship since 1997.
Kamara was selected for regional teams (Norwegian: Kretslag) in Oslo at the age of 15, and later represented Norway at under-16 and under-17 level. He has also represented the Norway under-23 national football team. Kamara made his debut for the Norwegian national team when he replaced Daniel Braaten in the 61st minute of the World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on 11 October 2013. In the match against Iceland four days later, Kamara made his starting-debut on his 24th birthday and played a total of 55 minutes.
On 20 January 2013, Kamara signed for SV Ried, but was immediately loaned out to TSV 1860 München on a six-month contract until the end of the season 2012–13 season with an option to extend the deal to two years. After the season, he went on loan to Strømsgodset.
Kamara was primarily a back-up in the absence of Marcus Pedersen in his first season at Stromsgodset. Following Pedersen transferred to Netherlands in August of 2010, Kamara started to play regularly with Jo Inge Berget. Kamara scored seven goals in 25 matches during the 2010 season and was the joint top goal scorer for Stromsgodset together with Pedersen. Kamara was also a goal scorer in both the semi-final and final, when Stromsgodset took home in the 2010 Norwegian Football Cup. Kamara signed a two-year deal for Stromsgodset in December of 2010 which will run until the end of 2012.

Kamara first made an appearance with Stabaek at Tippeligaen at 16 as he substituted Somen Tchoyi as an alternative in the draw 2-2 against Lillestrom on the 1st of October, 2006. The following season Kamara joined Honefoss’ First Division side Honefoss on temporary loan as an replacement for wounded Lars Lafton and Kenneth Di Vita Jensen. Kamara played in three matches with Stabaek the year 2008 and and was able to earn him a winner’s medal as the team took home Tippeligaen. Kamara’s contract ended at the end of the 2008 season and he was looking for another club, even the fact that Stabaek would like to extend his contract since he felt it was too difficult to match Daniel Nannskog and Veigar Pall Gunnarsson to get time on the pitch. After unsuccessful trial with Reggina and Sandefjord, Kamara had gotten an offer from 2. Divisjon club Baerum however, on the final day in the window for transfers prior to of 2009’s season Kamara signed a two-year deal with the Tippeligaen club Stromsgodset. Since his salary was just 135,000 kr for the year, Kamara had to move back to his home with his mother.
His father fled to Sierra Leone to Norway as refugees. Kamara was born, and was raised in Oslo. When Kamara was just one an year old, her parents made the decision to ask for help with raising him. Kamara went to every second weekends, holidays, and birthdays with a foster family. Kamara was a player for Frigg as a child when he made his appearance with the first team in the Second Division at the age of 15. Kamara was transferred to Stabaek at the age of 16 and quickly became an integral part of the Stabaek’s youth team. Kamara scored the game-winning goals in the semi-final against Viking in the event that Stabaek took home the Norwegian Youth Cup in 2008.
