From 1992 to the present, Odile Decq is an instructor in the Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris where she was elected the head of the Department of Architecture in 2007. In 2012, she left and then designed and established her school of own, the Confluence Institute for Creative and Innovative Strategies in Architecture. It is located situated in Lyon, France. In 2014. Odile Decq was the co-founder and director of the school with the architect Matteo Cainer. She describes her method of education as one that requires students to adopt a certain position that allows them to develop their independence and the ability to “express themselves strongly and very clearly.”

In 1998 Cornette died in a car accident at the age of 45. Decq continued to work under the firm ODBC, but in 2013 changed the name to Studio Odile Decq. The name change was prompted by her late husband still being credited with buildings that were solely her design.

Decq established her own company in 1979. The future partner of the company and later in her life Benoit Cornette was a medical student at that time. In 1985, Cornette obtained a degree in architecture, and they founded the architectural firm ODBC. The structures they designed to support the Banque Populaire de l’Ouest in Rennes together with Peter Rice in 1990 brought the couple numerous accolades and international recognition. The first construction using metal office structure in France.
