Noriyuki Haga (Fang The Ji Xing, Haga Noriyuki born on March 2, 1975, in Atsuta-ku, Nagoya) is a Japanese professional racer on motorcycles. Haga was a top competitor at the Superbike World Championship, finishing third in three races, and has been 3rd in the Championship four times. He is currently racing at the CIV Supersport 600 Championship, riding a Yamaha YZF-R6.
Haga made improvements to his performance and was able to compete at the top of the podium in the year 2000. But, his race was ruined when he was found to be positive for an illegal substance. Haga was found to be positive for Ephedrine following his event at the time in South Africa, though it was later found out that Ephedrine is naturally present in the herbs to make Ma Huang. Ma Huang supplement that he’d used in the off-season. Haga was initially given a one-month ban that began on June 5 and the points he earned of the two South African races deducted. But, following a string of appeals, the points earned taken from Race 1 in South Africa were reinstated , and the ban was rescinded and then reduced to a 2 week ban. This resulted in Haga not being able to race in the final round which was held at Brands Hatch, Great Britain. After Haga having lost 25 points, and missing the two-race weekend, Colin Edwards comfortably won the 2000 championship.

- He had several podium finishes but no wins. He finished 4th in the overall standing, before moving back to MotoGP in the following season. He was joined by his former teammate Colin Edwards to spearhead Aprilia’s MotoGP campaign, riding the newly developed Aprilia RS Cube. Both Haga and Edwards endured another disappointing season with the RS Cube performing poorly. Haga once again finished fourteenth in the championship without a podium.
After another failed attempt in MotoGP, Haga returned to WSBK in 2004. He joined the Renegade Ducati Koji team and was in contention for the championship until the final round, despite several mechanical failures.
Before Haga began full-time racing during the World Superbike Championship in 1998 He had been racing with WSBK in 1994. The year 1996 was the first time Haga was granted a wildcard to race in Sugo in the Japanese stage in WSBK in Sugo. He ended up finishing 2nd on the podium in Race 1, collecting his first podium at WSBK on his first try. But he was unable to finish the race in Race 2. In 1997, even though he was racing in his local championship, he was offered another chance to compete in WSBK. He was picked to replace wounded Colin Edwards for the last two races of the season in Sugo, Japan, and Sentul, Indonesia. He did well at both events, taking home his first win at WSBK and two more podiums.

Haga began his racing career by participating at the Japanese Superbike Championship in 1993 using the Ducati bike. Then, he joined Yamaha in 1995 and was crowned champion in 1997 with Yamaha at the end of 1997. While riding for Yamaha on Japanese Superbike, Haga was selected as the representative of Yamaha at the race in 1996. Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race. Haga was paired alongside Yamaha’s World Superbike rider Colin Edwards and took the race.
In 1998, Haga began racing WSBK full-time. He also chose the number 41 which was his number since then. Haga was a part of Yamaha’s Superbike team in the place of Colin Edwards who moved to Honda. Haga won two more races throughout the season, and placed 6th in standings for the championship. Haga was able to score an unanticipated third place finish during his debut 500cc race. This was his sole podium finish in his short 500cc/MotoGP racing career.
After an eventful year, Haga left WSBK and joined the 500cc World Championship for the 2001 season. Haga initially did not want to join the 500cc Championship as he wanted another chance to challenge for the WSBK crown. However, Yamaha had already announced that they were withdrawing from WSBK and focusing on the challenge to win the 500cc Championship. Haga joined the factory-backed Red Bull Yamaha WCM team, riding the Yamaha YZR500. Haga failed to adapt to the new bike and had a disappointing season, without a single podium. He finished fourteenth in the championship.
