In November of 2016 she was joined by Christiane Paul (curator) and artist Ian Cheng at the Whitney Museum of American Art in an open discussion on criticism of digital art. In February of 2017 she was a guest speaker at the festival of media arts, Transmediale in Berlin as part of the Festival’s 30th anniversary edition. She participated on a panel entitled The Alien Middle with German artist, designer and author Sascha Pohflepp, as well as Dulling Down the Obsolescence of Intelligence with curator and theorist Inke Arns, as well as Dutch concept artist Constant Dullaart. The speaking engagements were in Berlin occurred in conjunction with the launch of the Transmediale catalogue of the exhibition, Alien Matter, to which Khan contributed an essay. Khan was also an invited speaker at the CTM Festival, where she presented her investigation Fear Indexing the X-Files with artist Steven Warwick
