Nora Berra (born 21 January 1963 Nora Berra (born 21 January 1963, located in Lyon) is an French politician from France. Awarded the position of as a Member of the European Parliament June 7, 2009, in the French South-East constituency, she was named Secretary of State of Seniors just days later. She was then appointed Secretary of State Health from 14 November 2010 until October 10, 2012. She is running for an election called the Union for a Popular Movement primary for the municipal election in Lyon in 2014, she is evicted during the initial round on on June 2nd, 2013 when she gathered 9.41 percent of the votes.
On 23 June 2009, she was appointed to the cabinet of Premier Francois Fillon in the capacity of Secretary of State for Older under the supervision from Xavier Darcos, Minister of Labour, Social Relations, Family and Solidarity.
From 2001 until 2008 Berra was a councillor for the municipal government in Neuville-sur-Saone. At that the time she was elected to the Municipal Council of Lyon. In June 2009, during the European elections Berra came fifth in the UMP list for South-East France, and was elected to the European Parliament.
