In 2011, Moweta interviewed Nigerian boxer, Samuel Peter, before Peter’s world heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko for the Africa Channel’s sports documentary, Boxing Before the Bell. Moweta also interviewed world-renowned boxing trainer, Freddie Roach, and Lateef Kayode, another Nigerian boxer for Boxing Before the Bell.

Originating from Jos Plateau State Nigeria Moweta was raised living in Jos, Minna, Kano and Lagos. The Nigerian is fluent in Igbo and Yoruba well and speaks Igbo. The year was 1978. Moweta moved to US to study filmmaking in the San Francisco Art Institute. He relocated from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 1982 and began his career as DJ and music supervisor as well as a consultant, manager and event organizer. When he was in 1983, Moweta was awarded an award by the Department of Cultural Affairs in Los Angeles to host an eight-week program on the history of hip-hop music. The show aired on KPFK the following year. Afterwards, Moweta was asked by KPFK to host a weekly show , and then, Radio Afrodicia began broadcasting on June 21st on the 21st of June, 1995.
