Nino Burjanadze is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on July 16, 1964 in Kutaisi Located In The Administrative Territorial, Soviet Union. Nino Burjanadze (Georgian: nino burjanaz’e, also known as “nino burdZanadze] also romanized as Burdzhanadze or Burdjanadze born on the 16th of July in 1964) is a Georgian politician and lawyer who was chairperson for the Parliament of Georgia from November 2001 until June 2008. She is the first woman who was president-in-exile of the Georgia’s state Georgia twice. The first time from November 23rd, 2003 to January 25, 2004 following Eduard Shevardnadze’s resignation from the Rose Revolution, and again between November 25 and 20 January 2008 when Mikheil Saakashvili quit to run again in the presidential early elections. She was forced to withdraw from an opposition movement to Saakashvili as the head in the Democratic Movement United Georgia (DMUG) party in the year 2008. Then, in October of 2013, she was a candidate for president in the election of October 2013. She was one of 22 candidates, but came third with a mere 10 percent of the votes.
After the rigged parliamentary election on 2 November 2003. She joined with other opposition leaders in decrying the results of the vote and calling for large-scale protests against Shevardnadze. The constitution of Georgia automatically made her the acting president. Georgian constitution made her president in charge in the event that Shevardnadze quit on November 23rd. One of the first acts she took was to call for national unity and to repeal the emergency declaration made by Shevardnadze to try to bring stability back in a country that has an extensive history of violence in the political arena. It was clear that she was a candidate to be the next president, given that she is widely regarded by her countrymen and polls in 2003 revealed that she was among the three most well-known politicians.
Following a political crisis in late 2007, Saakashvili called new parliamentary and presidential elections for January 2008. In order to contest the presidential election, Saakashvili announced his resignation effective 25 November 2007, with Burjanadze becoming acting president for a second time (until the election returned Saakashvili to office on 20 January 2008).
On 28 November 2008, in an interview with Russia’s Vesti news channel, Russia’s NATO envoy Dmitry Rogozin accused the United States of planning to replace Mikheil Saakashvili with Burjanadze as president of Georgia.
Although she provided Shevardnadze the support he needed in dealings with foreign governments (in particular, Russia) However, she was vocal about the inefficiency and corruption of his domestic policy calling it “absolutely incompetent.” She resigned from UCG in 2002. UCG in 2002 and formed an opposition group called the Burjanadze-Democrats in order to contest the November 2003 elections to the parliament.

Nino Burjanadze was born and raised in Kutaisi the former Soviet republic of Georgia. Her graduation was in the year 1986 at TSU’s Faculty of Law of the Tbilisi State University (TSU) and then continued her studies through TSU’s Moscow State University from which she received a doctorate degree in International Law in 1990. She was a docent in 1991. was an docent (Associate Professor) of the Faculty of International Law at the Tbilisi State University. While there she was employed as an expert-consultant on legal issues for international organizations such as Georgia’s Parliament of Georgia and the Ministry for Environment Protection and Natural Resources.
The year 1995 was the first time Burjanadze became a member of in 1995 to the Parliament of Georgia for the Union of Citizens of Georgia (UCG) and was later chaired by president of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze and supported financially by her father Anzor Burjanadze who is a wealthy businessman. She first served as the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Law between 1998 and 1999, as well as the Parliamentary Committee for International Relations from 2000 until 2001. Through the years she gained notoriety as a Western values and a proponent of Georgia’s integration into NATO as well as in the European Union. She was closely associated with the reformist wing of the UCG which was headed by Mikheil Saakashvili and Zurab Zhvania who succeeded her on November 9 as president of the parliament following Zhvania quit on November 1 2001.
On 4 January 2004, Mikhail Saakashvili won the pre-term presidential elections in with an overwhelming majority. He was inaugurated on 25 January. A new was elected on 28 March, with Burjanadze resuming her old post as Speaker on 22 April.

The protests led by Burzhanadze began on May 21, 2011 when over 10,000 Georgians attended a demonstration in Tbilisi demanding Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s resignation. In the southwestern town of Batumi some demonstrations also occurred with some protesters attempting to break into the television building. Nino Burjanadze has been a lead figure in the demonstrations. The protesters in Batumi briefly clashed with police. On 26 May at about 00:15, Georgian police began to suppress the protests with tear gas and rubber bullets. Many journalists as well as the elderly were beaten and some opposition have gone missing
