Nikolay Bodurov is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 30, 1986 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Nikolay Georgiev Bodurov (Bulgarian: Nikolai Georgiev Bodurov ; born 30 May 1986) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who is a player in the Bulgarian team Pirin Blagoevgrad and the Bulgarian national team. Bodurov is primarily an oblique defender, however he has also played as an right back on certain occasions.

The month of July was when Litex Lovech signed Bodurov for a four-year contract. He was awarded an ’33’ shirt. He made his debut in the competition for Litex on the 1st of August 2009, when he played against Levski Sofia for the Bulgarian Supercup. Bodurov played his first league game against Montana on August 30 and played the entire 90 minutes. The match concluded with a 3-0 victory for Litex. On the 25th of March, 2010, he scored his first goal for the club, scoring a an assist in the 1-0 home victory over Sliven 2000. In his debut season for Litex He made 18 appearances for the A PFG and ended the season with his first league gold medal. In the course of the season the majority of his time was spent in the position of a right-back.

On 8 October 2010, Bodurov made his debut for the Bulgarian national team in the 1–0 away win in a Euro 2012 qualifying match against Wales in Cardiff. During a 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Denmark on 26 March 2013, Bodurov ruptured his ligament of ankle, and received surgery two days later. He reclaimed his starting spot for the national team following his return from injury, but was sent off on 11 October 2013, in the 1–2 away loss against Armenia in a World Cup qualifier.

On 20 December 2010, Bodurov was named 2010 A PFG Defender of the Year. He collected his second A PFG title winner’s medal at the end of the 2010–11 season.

In the 2008-09 season , with this team, he was selected for the final of the Bulgarian Cup. Bodurov was a part of 125 games in the Blagoevgrad club from Blagoevgrad from 2008 until 2009.

The birthplace of Bodurov is Blagoevgrad, Bodurov started to play football as a youngster playing with Pirin 1922. He progressed through the ranks of youth at the club, before making his debut in the team on the 8th of August, 2004 against Shumen in the age group of just eighteen years of age. Bodurov quickly made a name for himself as a member of the Pirin 1922 first team. He played 29 games in the league during the 2004-05 season, and also helped the team achieve the promotion into A Group.

Bodurov scored his sole goal for Pirin during the 2007-08 campaign. On the 27th October 2007 Bodurov scored a last-minute goal to earn victory by 1-0 against Vidima-Rakovski.

He started his professional career at his hometown club Pirin Blagoevgrad, playing five seasons before moving to Litex Lovech in 2009, with whom he won two league titles. In 2014, he signed with Fulham for a fee in the region of €1 million and then spent time on loan at Midtjylland during the 2015–16 season. In August 2016, his contract with Fulham was cancelled by mutual consent.
