Nicolas Lapierre (born 2 April 1984) is an French professional race driver. He raced for Toyota during the WEC and is currently a team driver of Alpine Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He has twice been a race winner at the 12 Hours of Sebring, with overall wins in the years 2011 and 2018 and has also won four LMP2 class wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the years 2015, 2016 2018and 2019.

Lapierre was removed at the end of 2006 and has been signed to take part in the 3rd year of GP2 with the DAMS team. The team finished at 10th place overall on the constructors’ standings . He also manages the French A1 GP team, which was the winner of the inaugural year in A1 Grand Prix.

Lapierre was announced as a LADA driver for the remainder of the 2015 World Touring Car Championship in August 2015, replacing Jaap van Lagen at the Russian team.

In 2005, Lapierre was a driver as a driver for A1 Team France in the A1 Grand Prix series helping the team to win the championship, and thus winning the World Cup of Motorsport. Lapierre took home the principal race as well as the sprint races during Germany and Australia as well as which included the principal race held in Dubai as well as the sprint in Indonesia.

Born in Thonon-lesBains, Lapierre started his career in 1993 as a kart driver which saw him finish third in French champions in 1996. He then placed 6th at the European Championships in 1997 and making it to the finals in the European Junior Championship in 1998 before he joined French Formula Renault in 1999. He was there until 2001 and 2000, also experiencing two races in the Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup. He was back racing on the French Formula Renault in 2002 and also drove a complete race season in 2000 Eurocup and some races of French Formula Three (most of races were within the Main Class but he did race in the B-Class class too).

2003 saw Lapierre change into Formula Three Euroseries with the Signature team. He also scored victory at the Macau Grand Prix. Lapierre remained in the Euroseries in 2004, as well as taking part in two races in British Formula 3.

During 2006 he continued with the Arden team in GP2, however his season was interrupted by a spectacular first corner crash in Monaco in which he was a victim of someone else’s accident. Lapierre received two compressed vertebrae in the crash and missed the British round of the series. Despite this, his points score was higher than the previous season’s tally.
