Nicola Shindler OBE (born 8 October 1968) is a British television executive and producer and the founder of the independent TV Drama production firm Red Production Company. She has won 11 BAFTA TV Awards.
Red has produced since the drama series BBC One, BBC Two as well as ITV such as Clocking Off (2000-03), Flesh and Blood (2002), Bob and Rose (2001) and The Second Coming (2003).
In 2016, Shindler went into business with author Harlan Coben (The Five) to form the U.S.-based production company, Final Twist Productions. Shindler is Co-CEO with Coben. StudioCanal will provide distribution services.

Shindler was a student at Bury Grammar School from 1979 from 1979 to 1987. She earned the degree of bachelor’s at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge studying history in Cambridge’s University of Cambridge.
Shindler worked for Granada Television, for whom she first became famous in the role of script editor for Cracker, a drama Cracker (1993). Then she worked as an assistant producer on British broadcaster’s Our Friends in the North (1996) and also as producer on Hillsborough which was a dramatic account of the 1989 soccer stadium tragedy. The three films all featured the actor Christopher Eccleston, who subsequently appeared in a variety of dramas for Shindler’s Red Production Company.
In December 2013, it was announced that Shindler had sold a majority stake Red Production Company to the French media company StudioCanal.
