Nicky Hofs is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 17, 1983 in Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands. Nicky Hofs (born May 17 1983, in Arnhem) is an ex- Dutch midfielder for football who played the majority of his career with Vitesse Arnhem.

Hofs came back to his former lover Vitesse with a loan deal to Feyenoord during the season of summer 2008. After a season on loan, playing in 30 games that he scored seven times and signed a two-year contract because he was zero chance of playing at Feyenoord. He stayed for one more season in which he played 31 games, scoring just one goal. Despite a contract that was in place the player quit Vitesse during the heat of 2010. Vitesse was facing financial difficulties and could not pay Hofs his comparatively high salary.

So just one year later he returned to Vitesse for the third and final time. Although he played 27 matches in his first season, he left on loan to Willem II in January 2013, after only playing 6 matches in the first half of the season. In June 2013, Hofs ended his professional career, only 30 years old, as he was physically unable to play at a high level any more. From the start of the 2013-2014 season Hofs has been a youth coach for Vitesse.

Nicky Hofs has won one cap for the Dutch national team. He wasn’t selected to the Dutch national team at the World Cup 2006 in Germany however, he was a part of the Netherlands U21 squad for at the UEFA U-21 Championship 2006 in Portugal. He scored two goals during the semi-finals as well as an additional goal in the final He played a crucial part of winning the European title. Hofs placed second on the top scorers list, just one goal shy of Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Hunterelaar.

Nicky Hofs started playing football at the age of five playing for the team Arnhemse Boys in the city of Arnhem, The Netherlands. He soon realized that he had a lot of talent. When he was just twelve years old, the scouts of both Ajax and Vitesse were interested. After failing his test in Ajax during the season in Amsterdam, Vitesse, which is his preferred Dutch team was able to take him on. He made his debut in professional football during the 2001/2002 season in 13 games in the team of Vitesse as well as scoring two goals. In the middle of the 2004/2005 season, the club signed him to Feyenoord. Nicky Hofs left Vitesse having played in 69 league matches for the club , scoring fifteen goals.

In his first season with Feyenoord the club played 13 league matches. In his second season, Hofs had a great start scoring four goals over six games. But, he sustained an injury to his knee which restricted the number of games the player could play down to 14 games during the 2005/2006 season. He quit Feyenoord at the end of the season of 2008., on loans to former club Vitesse with the possibility to make a permanent move.

He signed a two-year contract with AEL Limassol in June 2010. After one season, playing 14 matches without scoring any goals, he could leave the club on a free transfer.
