- He is currently the University of Central Oklahoma’s head football coach. Bobeck was previously the head football coach of Navarro College in Texas from 2008 to 2011. After leading the Bulldogs’ record to 10-1, Bobeck was named the NJCAA Coach Of The Year in 2008. Bobeck’s team won the NJCAA National Football Championship in 2010. Bobeck was born in Beaver, Oklahoma. After graduating from Beaver High School in 1999, he was awarded a football scholarship to University of Central Oklahoma. He plans to play fullback. Since then, he wore the number 45. Although he was a letterman all four years at Central Oklahoma, his first play was in his second-to-last game. It was a 2-yard touchdown run against Northeastern State. This resulted in him being named the first All-Lone Star Conference North Division team in 2002.
Bobeck received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2003, and his master’s in sports administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2005.
On January 4, 2012, Bobeck was hired at his alma mater, Central Oklahoma, as the team’s head coach. His first season at the helm was also the first season the Bronchos were a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. In the 2012 and 2013 seasons, the Bronchos played only a conference slate and finished with identical 2-8 records. In 2014, the Bronchos were picked 10th and 11th in the conference. However, the team played well above expectations and finished with an 8-4 record and an 8-3 conference record, earning the program’s first bid to the Mineral Water Bowl.
