Khuzwayo, a Durban Warriors veteran, joined AmaZulu in 2010. On 22 September 2010, he made his debut against Platinum Stars, in a 2-2 draw. Khuzwayo had two more league games, bringing his total to 3. Khuzwayo was loaned out to Thanda Royal Zulu, National First Division club. Khuzwayo signed a three year contract with Chiefs after the 2011-12 season. It was concluded on the 24th May 2012. The day prior to Khuzwayo’s signing, AmaZulu’s general manager Peter O’Connor suggested that it would be in the player’s best interests that the club allow him to join Chiefs. Tapuwa Kapini is still with us for three more years so it was decided that we would release “Casillas” [Khuzwayo] as he won’t be the first-choice goalkeeper. To allow him more game-time, we decided to let him join Chiefs. He made his debut against Platinum Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 28 April 2013. It was supposed to be the title decider, but it ended 0-0. With Chiefs, he won the league and cup double. He played in four matches during the 2013-14 season. He was part of a 2-0 victory over Golden Arrows in league play, another against AS Vita in CAF Champions League play, a win over Black Leopards, and a win over FC Buffalo in the Nedbank Cup. He scored his first league goal after joining Chiefs in the 2014-15 season, a 2-1 victory over University of Pretoria. Khuzwayo was the favorite to take over as goalkeeper for Itumeleng Khune’s eagerly awaited MTN 8 final. Stuart Baxter, Coach, said that Itu was one of our best players and we will miss him. Despite being called the “weakest Link”, Khuzwayo saved many goals in Chiefs’ win over Orlando Pirates. “First and foremost, I want to thank my family. My brothers, my friends. Everyone who believed in me. Itumeleng Khune was motivating me since I arrived at Kaizer Chiefs. He’s an inspiration to me.”
Khuzwayo holds 29 U-23 caps. In 2010, Khuzwayo was called up for a tour to Tehran. He made his international debut in South Africa against Equatorial Guinea on 6 January 2012.
