Neil Roberts was the first Navy SEAL to die in Afghanistan. He was flying aboard an Army MH-47 in 2002 trying to land on a snowy mountaintop when the helicopter came under heavy enemy fire from about 40 to 100 hidden al-Qaida fighters.
