Nazir Ahmad Laway (born 5 November 1963 in Hanad Chawalgam, Kulgam district in India) is the Member of Parliament representing the state of Jammu & Kashmir in Rajya Sabha. He is the son of Ghulam Mohammad Laway. He failed to win the Assembly elections in 2008 and 2014 by a small margin against his contender. Laway has worked with Mufti Mohammad Syed, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and is known for his proximity with the party top brass. He is also believed to have close affinity with the Party chief, Ms Mehooba Mufti.
