The room was fully painted in Crayola bright colours. Daoust completed her room and was inspired to stay in the Carlton Arms Hotel to take photographs. She stayed in each room alternately for the next two years to absorb the unique universe of each artist. These images show the interaction of subject and closed environment. They also explore the unpredictability of self, as each room becomes a microcosmic universe.

On 4 October 2014, Daoust married Jonathan Douglas-Scott-Montagu, a biochemist who is the younger brother of Lord Montagu of Beaulieu.
