Natalia Zarudna (Ukrainian name Zarudna Nataliia Mikolaivna) was born on 15 February 1950. She is a career diplomat from Ukraine and has been heading the Programme Office in Astana, since December 2011. Prior to joining the OSCE she was a diplomat representing her country in Germany, Denmark and as an Ambassador-at-large for humanitarian and cultural cooperation. She was Deputy Foreign Minister in 2002 and 2003.
She worked as a translator and guide translator in the first category of Anglo-American group at the Kyiv branch, State Committee on Tourism from 1973 to 1992.
From 1993 to 1994 she was the Head of the Liaison Department with the Embassies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
