Nancy Anne Hubbard was the daughter of Elizabeth Edwards (a chemist and researcher on diabetes) and William A. Hubbard (a chemical engineer and corporate executive). Hubbard, a competitive swimmer growing up, trained at the North Baltimore Aquatic club. She was both a European (Turku Finland, 1988) as well as a World Masters Swimming Champion (1989, Rio de Janeiro). Hubbard is in Notre Dame Preparatory School Athletics Hall of Fame.

Hubbard was a public relations consultant after she completed her master’s degree. For 18 years, she was an Associate Fellow at Templeton College in Oxford where she also taught at the Said Business School. Hubbard lived in London for a year as a producer at Trans World Sport. Hubbard is a visiting professor of Aix-Marseille University, and a faculty member of SKOLKOVO’s Moscow School of Management. She co-authored “Acquisition Strategy & Implementation” in 1999.

Hubbard was married to Michael P. Burton–Prateley, an English investor banker, on August 28, 1992 in Iffley. The reception took place at Eynsham Hall. After the wedding, they honeymooned in Seychelles, Mauritius and then settled in London. Hubbard is married to John Mann (a business executive). Hubbard and Mann have five children and one dog.

Nancy Anne Hubbard was born January 9, 1963. She is an American author, public relations consultant, and journalist. She is currently the College of Business dean at the University of Lynchburg. Hubbard was the former director of Goucher College Center for Education, Business and Professional Studies and Miriam Katowitz Chair in Management and Accounting.

She graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School. Hubbard was a swimmer on the Georgetown University swim team. She was a sports photographer while at Georgetown and was able to capture the NCAA Final Four Tournament three years. Hubbard received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1985 with a minor of Art History. In 1986, she completed a Master’s degree in Management from St Anne’s College in Oxford. Hubbard received a doctorate degree in Management from Templeton College in Oxford in 1997. Her dissertation was entitled Implementing Acquisitions: The Role and Management of Expectation.

In September 2009, Hubbard join the Business Management Department at Goucher College where she is the Miriam Katowitz Chair of Management and Accounting. In 2012, Hubbard became the Landmark Conference Faculty Athletic Representative for Goucher. She published “Conquering Global Markets: Secrets from the World’s Most Successful Multinationals” in 2013. From January 2015 to 2017, she was appointed as the Chair of the Landmark Faculty Athletic Representatives. She later became the director of the Goucher College Center for Education, Business and Professional Studies. In 2018, Hubbard was appointed as Dean of the College of Business at University of Lynchburg.
