She was selected to represent Slovenia in the European Ensemble Academy project, which was organized by Deutscher Musikrat at the occasion of Germany’s presidency of the European Union. Her composition Pritrkavanje was written specifically for the event and has been performed in Dortmund (Bremen), Ljubljana(Ljubljana), Rome, and Brussels.

Forte received her composition degree from the Music Academy Ljubljana, under Marko Mihevc in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, she continued her postgraduate studies at Hochschule fur Musik Carl Maria von Weber, Dresden under Lothar Voigtlander, and at Universitat des Kunste in Berlin under Walter Zimmermann (2007–09).
Her orchestral composition Genesis was performed in August 2007 at the festival Young Euro Classic Berlin. It was performed by George Pehlivanian, the conductor of the Music Academy Orchestra Ljubljana, and the soloists Joze Ktar (clarinet), and Borut Zagoranski(accordion). She also presented her piece for the choir Libera me in the Music Biennale Zagreb, Croatia that year.
In May 2010, her composition V lovljenju besed med izštevanjem tišine (Searching for Words while Counting out Silence) for flute and soprano was awarded first prize at the Second Biennale of Contemporary Music in Koper, Slovenia.
