He has one of the greatest winning percentages (95 percent wins in 300 fights) and the longest reigns as Lumpinee Stadium Champion. He was undefeated for the 135-pound title from 2000 to 2006. He won over Muay Thai icons like Samkor Kiatmontep and Neungpichit Sittong. Namsaknoi was the camp leader of Buakaw, an international Muay Thai star. They both trained at Por Pramuk Camp. He lived 6 years in Singapore, where he was the instructor for Evolve Fight Team at Evolve Mixed Martial Arts. He coached world-renowned MMA fighters like Shinya Aoki, Tarec Safiedine, and Rafael Dos Anjos.
Namsaknoi spent a few years as a trainer on the tourist-rich islands of Southern Thailand after his retirement. He also worked in Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Chatri Sityodtong approached him in 2010 to enroll in Evolve Mixed Martial Arts (SMMA) where he was a Muay Thai instructor.
Namsaknoi was born Muhammud Chaiyamart in a small fishing village in the Southern Thailand province of Surat Thani. He was the youngest of 7 siblings, of whom an elder brother (Ges Chaiyamart) was also a Muay Thai fighter. Namsaknoi’s parents struggled to feed the family on a fisherman’s meager income, which was one of the key motivations that drove the young Namsaknoi to Muay Thai when he was 8 years old to help support the family.
Namsaknoi fought mostly in Thailand against the best, while his camp junior Buakaw would become international famous for his participation in K1 kickboxing. Only a few fights were fought outside of Thailand. He fought in Japan (where his 2nd round TKO was against Satoshi Kobayashi), Korea and Macau, as well as Italy. Namsaknoi held on to the 135 lbs Lumpinee Stadium Belt Belt for 6 years. He retired in 2006. His impressive career record included 280 wins and 15 losses as well as 5 draws. The Thai media gave Namsaknoi the nickname “The Emperor” for his long reign as unbeaten champion.

Three years later, he won another Fighter of the Year Award from the Sports Authority of Thailand. He was later acquired by Por Pramuk camp in the outskirts Bangkok where he would stay until his retirement.

In early 2016, Namsaknoi left Evolve MMA as their Head Muay Thai Instructor, and returned to Koh Phangan, Thailand to set up his own Muay Thai gym, named Namsaknoi Muay Thai Club. The gym was opened on 14 October 2016. However in December 2017, Namsaknoi left his gym in Koh Phangan, despite growing interest and success of the gym.
