This surname was believed to be the name al-Shammari’s clan in the Shammar tribe. The report was confirmed by Swedish authorities. It states that al-Shammari applied in 2009 for a residence permit to Sweden and was granted it in 2015. According to reports, al-Shammari received several welfare benefits from the Swedish state, including full-time sick leave and a residence permit in 2009. He did not declare any income from work, or for many years, only very low, but it was reported that he was allowed to claim these benefits. Although he was never convicted, he has been the subject of several criminal investigations.
