They were Gender and Demographic Transition and the Economics of Families: A Population Policy for Human-Centred Development 1996, The Conditions and Consequences of Choice in 1999, and Leaving the Rice Fields, but not the Countryside: Gender and Livelihood Diversification. She co-edited the Routledge/UNRISD book Global Perspectives on Gender Equality. Reversing the Gaze for UNRISD’s programme Gender and Development. Kabeer was the lead author on The World Survey on Women and Development, which she co-edited with the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women (DAW). She co-edited a Routledge/UNRISD volume entitled “Social Protection as Development Policy: Asian Perspectives” for UNRISD’s programme Social Policy and Development in 2010.
