Muhammad Aladdin is one of the most popular and richest Writer who was born on October 7, 1979 in Bab al-Louq, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Alaa Eddin, also known by Arabic:mHmdl ldyn, is an Egyptian short story writer and novelist. His first collection of short stories, The Gospel According to Adam, The Twenty-Second Day and The Foot were published in 2003. He is also the author of four short story collections: The Other Shore (Short-stories Collection), The Secret Life of Citizen M and The Season of Migration to Arkidea.

The Russian newspaper Moskovskij Komolets published the American translation of The Voice, along with the short story. It was translated by Sarali Gintsburg. The same story was published in Editoriaraba in March 2014. It was translated into Italian by Barbra Benini. Within 24 hours, it was reblogged at MedShake, an Italian prestigious research center on international politics.

Aladdin gave a keynote speech at the First Convention for Egyptian Writers in May 2013 in support of young Egyptian writers. He argued against the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt and called for the dismantling of Egypt’s ministry for culture to create a new republic. Aladdin, however, spoke out against the Egyptian regime after the 2013 coup d’etat. He refused to take part in the Second conviction, stating to ArabLit blog on October 23, 2013, that “They would use us to make-up the same ugly face.” He was therefore banned from writing articles in Egypt.

His latest A Well-Trained Stray was published in 2014. It has been compared to The Great Gatsby in Egyptian and Italian criticisms. Aladdin, Yasmina Khadra, Tahar Ben Jelloun, and illuminate names from Arabic literature joined him in presenting the novel, which was the first Arabic-written Arab book to be presented at Turin International Book Fair, May 2016.

In 2011, Akhbar Al Adab, the Egyptian magazine, selected him as one of Egypt’s most important writers. He is also one of The Millions.com’s “Six Egyptian writers you don’t know but should”, as Pauls Toutonghi stated in The millions.com.
