Mouhammad “Mo” Faye, a Senegalese basketball professional who plays for Promitheas Ptras in the Greek Basket League. He was born September 14, 1985. He is also a member of the senior Senegalese team.
Faye was a 2010 NBA Summer League player for the Dallas Mavericks. Later, he signed with the NBA D-League team Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
He also played with Senegal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup, and at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
On August 13, 2015, Faye joined Pallacanestro Varese. He left the team before the end of the season, as he was found positive for doping. He was also suspended for six months from basketball. On July 17, 2016, Faye signed with the Greek team Promitheas Patras. On April 24, 2017, Faye signed with the Lebanese team Sagesse.
Faye was unable to start practice in 2006 due to delays in translating his transcripts. Faye started his career in 2006-07 as a redshirt freshman. However, he was not allowed to play in the first season due to a wrist injury he suffered in a summer pickup game. Faye was made a starter after Lewis Clinch, his teammate, was suspended for the rest of the 2006-07 seasons on January 5, 2007. Faye was again sidelined on February 5, 2007, after he developed flu-like symptoms. Coach Paul Hewitt suggested that this could have been due to mononucleosis.

Faye was the son of Mame Youmane Niang Faye and Demba Faye. He is the youngest of five siblings. His older brother, Assane, was a basketball player at the University of New Hampshire. Faye was a student at SEED Academy, Dakar, Senegal. Faye was a member the Senegalese Under-18 National Basketball Team in 2002 and 2004.
Faye is a long-standing member of the senior Senegalese basketball team. He has participated in the following FIBA AfroBasket tournaments with Senegal: the 2007 FIBA Africa Championship and the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship. He was awarded bronze medals at both the 2013 FIBA Africa Championship and 2017 AfroBasket.
For the 2012–13 season, he joined Ikaros Kallitheas of the Greek Basket League, The next year, he joined Panelefsiniakos and for the 2014–15 season he played for Rethymno.
