After one season, Azwan quit Kelantan FA to go back to Johor for 2013 Malaysia Super League. He scored his first goal in the club’s 2-1 win over Negeri SembilanFA on 2 March 2013. He was a key player in 2013’s Johor and managed to score 7 assists and 4 goals.
He returned to Kelantan for the 2017 season, but was released at the end of the season.
