AmaZulu informed FIFA in May 2009 that they hadn’t received the full transfer fee from Red Star Belgrade for Issah. Issah and Bernard Parker, a teammate, sued Red Star Belgrade later that month for not fulfilling financial obligations. Issah was among eight players who were told that they were surplus to needs in January 2011.
