Gerardo Martino selected Casco, an uncapped player, for the Copa America 2015 in Chile on 27 May. Casco made his debut at the Estadio San Juan del Biscentenario on 7 June, as a substitute for Facundo Roccaglia in the final 29 minutes in a 5-0 victory over Bolivia. Casco was born in Maria Grande, Entre Rios Province. He began his professional career in 2009 with Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, the Argentine Primera Division. He signed for Newell’s Old Boys in July 2012 under Gerardo Martino as manager. This company purchased 50% of his economic rights.
Casco, who had been absent from the national team since 2015, was a surprise inclusion in the Copa America 2019 in Brazil. Lionel Scaloni picked him ahead Gabriel Mercado. He was able to play one of the games that secured him third place, the 1-1 draw with Paraguay at Mineirao.
