Milk Morizono is one of the most popular and richest Mangaka who was born on December 25, 1957 in Shunan, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Hiroko Mizoguchi was born in Tokuyama (now Shunan), Yamaguchi prefecture on December 25, 1957. She drew manga when she was a child. She married in 1977 and started work as an office lady. However, she left the job after one year. She divorced her husband in 1981 and began her career as a manga artist, Crazy Love Hisshouhou. In the same year, she won a Shogakukan Manga award for new artists.

Morizono married manga artist Hyakuro Morasaki [jp] from the time of his death in 2010. In 2017, she published an autobiographical manga about Murasaki’s murder, My Husband Was Suddenly Killed (SiFu haaruRi Ti Tu Ran Sha sareta ), in the digital manga magazine Mecha Comic [jp]. Morizono is also a photographer.

In 1991, Peacemaker in Midori was published by Morizono. It was a shojo manga publication published by Kodansha. The series was criticized by politicians, parents-teacher associations, housewives groups, and police. Kodansha then pressured Midori’s editors to stop publishing any works they considered “harmful”. Kodansha wouldn’t publish Morizono’s manga in tankobon volume unless Peacemaker was rewritten. Morizono declined, and neither Kodansha nor Morizono earned any royalties from Peacemaker. The series was eventually not renewed despite its popularity. Therefore, Morizono started publishing his works through Shodensha (a smaller company that published Peacemaker’s tankobon in its uncensored form).
