Tredinnick began writing cartoon stories for Disney Magazine in 1986, including stories about Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy.

In 1990, Tredinnick wrote the stage thriller Twist. This was translated into German by Ursula Grutzmacher-Tabori under the title Der Letzte Dreh and was later produced in London under the title Getting Away with Murder at the Pentameters Theatre in Hampstead. The play had its US debut in Taunton, Massachusetts in 2010

His next stage comedy was It’s Now Or Never! in 1994. Directed by Marina Calderone at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, England, it starred Tony Roper, Peter Polycarpou and Leyton Sommers as Elvis Presley. A German version, Jetzt Oder Nie, translated by Christian Wolffer has been successful as has a Dutch version translated by Martine Deboosere.

Tredinnick was a regular writer for Frankie Howerd, including the co-writing of Superfrank! Channel 4. He also wrote an updated stage production of Up Pompeii! Although a tour was not planned, Larry Gelbart offered Howerd the chance to play the role of Pseudolus again at A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to The Forum at London’s Piccadilly Theatre. After being revised and updated, the new play was premiered in Chesterfield in January 2011. It then went on to tour the UK. Bruce James directed the play, which starred Damian Williams as Lurcio, the slave. Josef Weinberger Ltd published an acting edition of this play in 2012.

Tredinnick, along with Jon Moss, drummer, guitarist, and Steve Voice, formed the punk group London in 1976. Riff Regan was his lead singer. Danny Morgan, an ex-Yardbirds talent scout and ex-Marc Bolan manager Simon Napier Bell, discovered the band. He signed them to a MCA Records record deal and they went on a national tour with The Stranglers. Napier-Bell, at the IBC Studios London, produced their singles “Everyone’s a Winner”, “Summer of Love”, and “Friday on My Mind” as well as their album Animal Games. Their recording of Friday on My Mind was recorded in the same studio as The Easybeats’ original.

Tredinnick co-wrote “Hottest Woman In Town” in 1982 with Andy Miller. It was recorded at London’s Trident Studios and released by Bernie Torme (ex-Ozzy Osbourne lead guitarist) and Ian Gillan.

In 1987/8 Tredinnick created and wrote the BBC1 comedy series Wyatt’s Watchdogs. Produced and directed by Alan J W Bell, it starred Brian Wilde and Trevor Bannister. In 1992 he joined the Alomo/BBCTV show Birds of a Feather as a writer on series 4.
