- He had previously left the Avalanche as an unrestricted agent. Sislo was a veteran presence for the Coyotes AHL affiliate the Tucson Roadrunners in the 2017-18 season. Statistically, Sislo rebounded from the previous season and scored 23 goals and 47 points during 68 regular-season games. This helped Tucson reach the second round of the playoffs.
After spending his first nine professional seasons contracted within in the NHL, Sislo left as a free agent following the 2018–19 campaign in signing a European deal with German outfit, Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the DEL on July 10, 2019.
Sislo, who had played five seasons in the Devils’ organization, was released on July 1, 2016 as a free agent and signed a one-year, 2-way contract with the Colorado Avalanche. Sislo was expected to carry the offensive load of the AHL affiliate, San Antonio Rampage. He managed only 6 goals in 54 games during the 2016-17 season. Sislo was then loaned to the Avalanche by an AHL trade to Toronto Marlies for Colin Smith, March 1, 2017. Sislo immediately made an impact with the Marlies and scored 8 goals and 16 points in his 18 games.
