He eventually opened Repole Stable after he sold Glaceau. Uncle Mo, his most successful horse, was the American Champion Two-Year Old in 2010. He is still a popular sire of racehorses, having sired Nyquist the Kentucky Derby winner. Vino Rosso, Repole’s horse won the Breeders Cup Classic in 2019. Other notable horses at the stables include Coach Inge and Notacatbutallama as well as Caixa Eletronica, Stay Thirsty, multiple Grade 1 winners, and Caixa Eltronica.

In 2019, Repole co-starred in the Barstool Sports investment show “Big Brain,” where he served as a financial advisor to Dave Portnoy, alongside Jon Taffer.

He was elected chairman of Pirate’s Booty in 2009. In less than five years, he helped to grow the company by 300%. B&G Foods purchased Pirate Brands for $195 Million in 2013.

Mike Repole, born January 21, 1969, is an American entrepreneur and businessman. He is also the owner of Repole Stables. Repole Stables is best known for founding Glaceau (maker Vitaminwater) and BODYARMOR SUPERDrink (a sports drink manufacturer).

Repole began his career with Mistic Beverages. As Vice President of Sales, he joined Crystal Geyser. Repole, along with J. Darius Bikoff in 1999, co-founded Energy Brands, also known as Glaceau. This company produced Smartwater and Vitaminwater. It was also responsible for launching the enhanced water beverage segment. It grew rapidly, earning $1M its first year and achieving over $1 billion sales by 2007. By 2007, it was the most popular water brand in America. Coca-Cola purchased the company in 2007 for $4.1 billion.

In 2011, he co-founded BodyArmor Superdrink, a sports drinks company, with Lance Collins. BodyArmor, usually stylized BODYARMOR, garnered media attention in 2014 when Kobe Bryant, a professional basketball player, invested millions into the company and became the company’s creative director. Bryant is additionally the fourth largest stakeholder in the company, and Repole currently serves as Chairman of the company. In August 2018, Coca-Cola became the second largest stakeholder in BodyArmor in an attempt to further challenge rival Pepsi’s hold, via its Gatorade brand, on the sport’s drink industry. According to Nielsen data, BodyArmor is the third most purchased sports drink, with expected revenues of $400 million in 2018.
