Micke Dubois Biography

Micke Dubois is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on February 25, 1959 in Sala Municipality, Västmanland, Sweden. Mats Mikael Dubois (25 Feb 1959 – 30 Nov 2005), also known by Svullo was a comedian and actor from Sweden.

In his later years, he worked in TV4, including as a host for Robot Wars (2002, 3) and as a judge for the Sveriges varsta (“Sweden’s worst”) (2005). He was also anointed the “worst Swedish husband” (2005).

Dubois was found dead in his apartment’s cellar on 2 December 2005. He had committed suicide by hanging. He was 46 years old.

The DVD Micke Dubois – Mycket Mer Än Bara Svullo (Micke Dubois – Much More Than Just Svullo) was released in 2006. It contained some Angne och Svullo sketches, bloopers and outtakes from Knäppa Klipp and a special tribute with celebrities including Ulf Malmros (who directed Den Elake Polisen), Markoolio and Sven Melander who all talked about the energy and charisma of Dubois.

Dubois also made a few movies later in his career, such as the cult movie Svullo Grisar Vidare. Dubois recorded the song “For Fet For ett Fuck” with Electric Boys in 1990. It was a hit and reached the top of the Swedish charts in 90. He recorded more albums, including For fet omslag (“Too fat for a Cover”), and began a tour with Gristaget (“The Pig Train”), in which Eddie Meduza performed.

Dubois stopped studying and began to work odd jobs. He moved to the United States with the money he earned. Dubois was a bodybuilder at that time. He trained at the same gym with Arnold Schwarzenegger and gained a lot of muscle. He wanted to be a comedian when he returned to Sweden. He won third place in an air guitar contest. He performed at the Berns restaurant a few times later. Then he became famous performing at the rock club Alexandra. He was a huge success and continued to perform there one week per year. He got the idea for the character “Svullo” in 1988.

He came up with the name Svullo in 1988, which is a Swedish taunt for obese people. It was based on his large body mass. Hans Crispin was his friend and he formed the television duo Angne & Svullo. Svullo was the one responsible for destroying a lot of cars, all in the name of comedy.

In 2005, he committed suicide by hanging himself in his cellar. He is survived by his wife Gitte Nilsson and their three children.
